Chia (Salvia hispanica) is a herbaceous plant of the Lamiaceae family native to Mexico and Guatemala, where it has been cultivated since pre-Hispanic times. Chia vegetable oil is obtained by cold pressing from the seeds of this plant, which allows it to preserve its nutritional and therapeutic properties.
This oil is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids, as well as antioxidant vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals beneficial for health. Its properties include its anti-inflammatory, healing, moisturizing and skin regenerating action.
Chia oil is used in the cosmetic industry to make creams, lotions, soaps and shampoos, as it helps maintain the skin. healthy, soft and young, as well as reducing the appearance of wrinkles, spots and stretch marks. In addition, it contains antioxidants such as tocopherols and phenols, as well as minerals such as calcium, magnesium and iron.
