Shea vegetable oil is a natural ingredient that has been used for centuries in the West African region, especially in Ghana and Mali. Shea is a tree from the Sapotaceae family, which can reach a height of up to 15 meters. The shea oil extraction process has been transmitted from generation to generation by African women, who are in charge of collecting and processing the nuts for later use.

Shea oil is obtained from the nuts of the shea tree. The nuts are collected, dried in the sun and then roasted over an open fire.
